Xiaomi has added another model to its Mi TV 4A set of clever TVs in its own home market, complete with voice control, improved sound, plus a thin design. The newest Mi TV 4A model sports a 40-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixel) panel and can be positioned between the 32-inch and 50-inch models of the series. The Mi TV 4A collection – as well as the 4C – offer television models with thin bezels and smart TV features at very affordable prices in comparison to Xiaomi’s flagship Mi TV 4 array, which was found in India just 2 weeks ago.
The new Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 40-inch version has direct type backlight, 178-degree, refresh rate of 60Hz, 5000:1 static contrast ratio, and 8ms dynamic reaction. Connectivity package of this new TV is composed of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 + LE, USB (2), HDMI (2), AV (1), analogue signal DTMB (1), and Ethernet. It’s two 8W speakers with Dolby and DTS enhancements.
Coming to the vital attributes, the new Mi TV 4A 40-inch version supports voice command, so buyers can use the remote with built-in microphone to give commands such as “shut down after 10 minutes,” or “fast forward to 54 minutes and 21 seconds” to control specific functions without pressing a single button. It’s based on the Android-Based Patchwall UI that the company uses in its other TVs.
As for the specs, the newest Mi TV 4A model packs the 64-bit 1.5GHz Amlogic L962-H8X chip and 750MHz Mali 450 GPU with 1GB RAM, also comes with 8GB of internal storage. In China, the new model is priced at CNY 1,699 (approximately Rs. 17,500).
A new Mi TV 4A version is also expected to launch in India on Wednesday as Xiaomi was teasing the launching of a cheap TV from the country. However, it’s not clear whether it will be the newest 40-inch version that the company brings to the marketplace or the more compact 32-inch version of the same series. A separate model, the 43-inch Mi TV 4C, was also spotted last week on the official Xiaomi India website with Rs. 27,999 cost tag.
