Disney has Launched a Fresh Full Scale trailer for The Lion King — by director Jon Favreau (The Jungle Book) — That Attempts to establish a grittier tone and Texture for Its photorealistic CGI Picture of Its Own 1994 hit animated Movie of the Exact Same Title.
That is why it opens with a foreboding voice-over in the protagonist Scar (voiced by Chiwetel Ejiofor), who chastises his youthful nephew Simba then threatens him with his minion bunch of hyenas. The web hasn’t taken kindly to Scar’s new scruffy, dishevelled appearance, which is in stark contrast with his first more regal look. Sure, it is more realistic but it’s not like fans were advocating for it.
The newest Lion King trailer then transforms to a more optimistic equipment, as Simba’s father, Mufasa (James Earl Jones), clarifies the delicate balance of life in nature and also the responsibility of a”true king”. Together, there are glimpses of this hornbill Zazu (John Oliver) along with the mandrill Rafiki (John Kani), the wildebeest episode that triggers Mufasa’s death (wait, is that a spoiler?) , Scar telling Simba to”run off without return”, Simba growing up together with all the meerkat Timon (Billy Eichner) and warthog Pumbaa (Seth Rogen), along with a grownup Simba (Donald Glover) reuniting with his childhood best friend Nala (Beyoncé), that also functions as his love interest.
Especially, the only dialogue from the trailer comes in Scar and Mufasa, although the remainder of the CGI creatures simply reveal their faces.
Even though Favreau’s version of The Jungle Book was a live-action movie to a extent, The Lion King movie isn’t a live-action movie in any way, really. There are no people in this narrative and therefore, it only uses just the computer-generated photorealistic animation methods utilized on The Jungle Book. Favreau is also famous for directing Iron Man, and is the founder of the forthcoming Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
The Lion King is supposed to launch July 19, 2019 at India in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
