Micromax, leaving no stone unturned to advertise its new brand, announced the ‘Apps for YU’ problem inviting Indian developers to create apps for its upcoming YU brand of smartphones working a custom Cyanogen OS build based on Android.

The company published that builders keen to participate in the contest must register at yuplaygod forum and publish an app by way of January 5, 2015. The apps can be under categories equivalent to personalization, camera, privateness, battery and audio. The corporate stressed out that the apps created can at best possible be 30-days old. The best app will be featured on Micromax’s new YU smartphone and the grand prize winner will receive Rs. 1,00,000. Further, the top three entries will get YU telephones and top 10 developers will obtain YU merchandise.
