The South Korean technology giant said the new OLED TVs will hit on the US market on Monday and slowly expand to nations in Europe, South America and Asia down the street, Yonhap news agency reported.

LG Electronics said it’d exhibit the OLED TVs at a 500 branches of US retailer Best Buy, showcasing the business’s most up-to-date Alpha 9 chip that delivers enhanced resolutions by supplementing color through AI technology.

In response to this increasing need, LG said it intends to expand the part of OLED TVs in its own portfolio to 20 percent in 2018, up from last year’s 15 percent.

LG Electronics reported the OLED TVs are capable of producing improved color as every pixel produces light without needing to utilize backlights.

The program comes as Samsung Electronics Co, LG’s larger South Korean competition, uses LCD technology which uses backlights for its top notch QLED TVs.
