IOS 12.1.2 Update Released Again With New Build, but No Noticeable Changes: Report

Apple has re-released iOS 12.1.2 within days after its original Introduction on Monday.
This means users that updated their iPhone models to iOS 12.1.2 following its coming earlier this week will not receive the next build. The changelog is seemingly the exact same in case of the next construct.
However, as spotted by folks at AppleInsider, the next build of iOS 12.1.2 carries another build number. The original iOS upgrade had build amount 16C101, although the re-released upgrade that has been pushed on Thursday (from the US) has build number 16C104. Gadgets 360 wasn’t able to confirm that the changes in the build number.

Apple has not specified the prime motive for issuing the iOS 12.1.2 update for the next time. On the other hand, the new build may include some of the fixes that were missing from the prior release.

The newest version also addressed a problem that could impact mobile connectivity in Turkey specifically on all the 2018 iPhone versions.

Aside from the new adjustments, the iOS 12.1.2 update does not include any safety upgrades. The new version was reported to include essential software tweaks from China to tackle”any possible concern” about Apple’s compliance with a court order that prohibited the sales of its elderly iPhone models. These tweaks are reportedly in the form of a new animation for induce closing programs in China, as per a China-specific changelog. The animation results in the apps shrinking to close rather than moving up and off the screen.

The iOS 12.1.2 upgrade can be used with all the iPhone versions running iOS 12. To download and install the latest version in your device, visit Settings > General > Software Update and follow the on-screen instructions.

Your device should be using a Wi-Fi link to download the over-the-air upgrade. Also, it’s recommended to back up your information, and ensuring that your device has over 50 percent of charge or connected to an energy supply before beginning the update process.
