Black Shark Surfaced as the Primary gaming smartphone in Xiaomi-backed Black Shark back in April.Black Shark 2 TENAA Listing Showing Display Size, Battery Capacity, Dimensions LeakedBut only months after the introduction of its first generation, the Chinese company has apparently begun preparing its successor that could launch as the Dark Shark 2. The new offering has received a TENAA certification with version number AWM-0. This is especially the exact same version that was assigned to the Black Shark smartphone. However, there are particular design-level changes on the model. The dual back camera setup that was horizontally-aligned on the initial version is currently seemed to be aligned. Similarly, the fingerprint sensor that was sitting on the front panel of the first-generation Black Shark has now been transferred to the back of the Dark Shark 2. The Black Shark came at China with a starting price of CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 31,700). The Black Shark two is very likely to take a similar price tag for its base version.
In accordance with the TENAA listing, as reported on SlashLeaks, the Black Shark 2 has a 5.99-inch display that could come with an FHD+ resolution – equal to the first model. The listing also highlights the existence of a 4,000mAh battery, that’s the same as the predecessor. Further, the dimensions of the smartphone come in 160×75.26×8.7mm. These reveal that the new version is slightly thinner and more thinner in size than its previous production that 9.25mm of thickness and 161.62mm of height. However, the width of this initial model was nearly exactly like its new generation with 75.4mm of measurement.

SlashLeaks has also supplied a total of four pictures of this new Black Shark smartphone created from TENAA. While the side view of the new model looks similar to its predecessor, its rear view reveals some noteworthy differences in the form of a vertically-placed dual rear camera installation along with a fingerprint sensor. Since the fingerprint sensor is currently in the back, the front view of the new version appears quite plain. Furthermore, the Black Shark branding along with the S-shaped emblem can be seen on the trunk.

Similarly, the hyperlink to the TENAA listing on the SlashLeaks page was revealing a”no record” page at the time of filing this story.

If we examine the hardware of the first Black Shark smartphone, its successor is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with Adreno 630 GPU as well as 8GB of RAM. The smartphone could also have a committed liquid cooling technology to provide out-of-the-box thermal management for an improved gaming experience.

Details about the price and access to the Black Shark 2 are yet to be revealed. But considering the listing on TENAA, some more information concerning the developing model is likely to emerge from the coming future.
