Google’s $2.1 billion (Approximately Rs. 15,724 crores) bid for Gym Manufacturer Fitbit will Confront a Full-Scale EU antitrust Evaluation next week, people Knowledgeable about the Issue said on Thursday.
Alphabet unit Google this past month provided to not utilize Fitbit’s health information to allow it to target advertisements in an effort to deal with EU antitrust concerns. The launching of a full-scale investigation indicates that this isn’t sufficient.
The deal, announced last November, could visit Google compete with market leader Apple and Samsung from the fitness-tracking and smart-watch marketplace, along with others such as Huawei and Xiaomi.
