Samsung HW-Q950T, HW-Q900T Soundbar Models With Dolby Atmos Support Launched

Samsung has Included two new soundbar models to its Q series, namely the HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T.

The business is targetting the superior section with Dolby Atmos service, eARC service, and assorted improvements which are a part of the new soundbars. The soundbars can be used alongside Samsung’s 2020 lineup of QLED TV versions for a richer sound experience. The HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T come with various smart features as well that enable users to follow their favorite music with only their voice.

Samsung HW-Q950T has been listed on US merchant BHPhotoVideo’s site for $1,797.99 (approximately Rs. 1.35 lakh) without a launch date while the Samsung HW-Q900T has been listed on The Good Men website for AUD 1,499 (roughly Rs. 78,000). The Good Guys site claims the HW-Q900T will be released on July 23 at Australia.

Both of them are up for pre-orders and as of today, it is unclear if they are going to make their way to the Indian market.

The HW-Q950T from Samsung includes 9.1.4-channel setup in one soundbar while the HW-Q900T includes a 7.1.2-channel installation. The HW-Q950T can produce 546W using its 20 speakers and contains two wireless rear up-firing speakers, while the HW-Q900T can provide 406W using its 16 speakers. It does not have wireless rear speakers.

Both the HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T include Dolby Atmos service, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS:X from DTS support, and eARC support. Samsung says these can be employed using the 2020 QLED TV versions by the company and have sound shooting from both the TV’s speakers as well as the soundbar with the help of Q-symphony. The soundbars additionally support 4K video passthrough with support for HDR10+. For connectivity, you get two HDMI in ports, one HDMI out interface, an Optical In interface, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and come with a remote.

The Samsung HW-Q950T and Samsung HW-Q900T additionally feature Samsung SmartThings program support and Alexa voice assistant. This gives users the freedom to perform with their favorite music from services like Amazon Music, Spotify, iHeart Radio, and TuneIn. There’s also a Tap Audio quality which permits users to send their songs playing on the smartphone straight to the soundbar.

Talking about the aesthetics, Samsung says the soundbar versions are wrapped in Kvadrat cloth and happen to be tuned at the Samsung Audio Lab. The business adds that the HW-Q950T and HW-Q900T are skinnier compared to 2019 models and will better fit under the TV.
