Google Working Smart Compose for WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Messages During Gboard Keyboard: Report

Google is bringing Smart Compose feature to Google Messages, WhatsApp, and Telegram through the Gboard keyboard, according to a new report. This feature was seen from the beta version of Gboard, Google’s own keyboard native to Android, with version 9.5.12.317844448. The same as Google indicates words and phrases in Gmail via Smart Compose, this feature was also seen in these messaging programs. As of now, the search giant has not shared any info on the characteristic and it’s uncertain as it will show up in the stable version of Gboard.

Smart Compose relies on Google’s auto-complete quality that indicates another term or phrase to decrease typing time and improve efficiency. While typing out a message, as soon as a proposal pops , users can swipe right on the text to accept the proposal. Smart Compose also permits users to tweak the proposal following accepting it.

As this attribute is now part of the beta for Gboard, it won’t be accessible for most users to subscribe to the beta, head to the Google tester programme webpage .

Smart Compose has been first noticed in Gmail back in 2018 and Google has been improving it since. Late last year, the attribute created its way to Google Docs to get G Suite clients in beta, eventually becoming widely accessible to all G Bundle clients in February this year.

Google has not shared details on when the Smart Compose attribute will be coming to the stable version of Gboard.
