Amazon has introduced a Brand New Watch Party feature for Group streaming Its Own subscribers on Prime Video, According to a report.
This attribute allows Prime Video users to watch TV shows and movies with family and friends remotely, so you can have a digital watch party. It is currently rolling out for subscribers in America only but could be rolled out in more areas over time. Amazon Prime Video Watch Parties can accommodate around 100 audiences in one group. This is similar to the Netflix Party expansion on Chrome which permits viewers to possess viewing movie parties and chat about it together with.
This chat attribute supports emojis too. For US Prime Video subscribers, a fresh Watch Party icon must show up for any TV show or film that supports the attribute. Clicking on the icon will make it possible for users to make a viewing room, and a custom URL is going to be created. This URL can be shared with around 100 people, who can easily click the connection, input the Watch Party, and begin chatting.
Just the server will be able to start, pause or stop the Watch Party session, and such triggers will sync all participants devices as well. This is great for when someone should grab some popcorn or just head to the toilet. For now, the Watch Party attribute is only supported on the background computer, and works with only about the Prime content catalog. It follows that even in the event that you subscribe to HBO through your Amazon account, this feature will not work for HBO content.
There is no term from Amazon on the Watch Party feature rollout outside of the Usa. On the other hand, the business is likely to bring it to other regions and encourage it on more devices in the long run. While Netflix Party expansion has been around for a while today, it would be great if the streaming agency could build it within its platform as well.
